Primary School Quadrangle
For this design project, the Primary School had a sheltered, sunny area that was not being made use of. The addition of french doors from an existing corridor meant that a whole new outdoor seating area could be accessed. The design brief included the need to screen an ugly portacabin as well as creating enough patio space to accommodate functions. The addition of raised planting beds around the new patio area softened the hard landscaping with planting as well as providing extra seating. Vegetable beds were installed through the grass area so that each class could create their own vegetable planting schemes.
